So is Cap #600 a bust?

It was ok...nothing happened as has been said...Couple little reveals, but mostly just a big hype for another series yet to come. Question- where did the Heroes Reborn girl Bucky come from? I don't recall her entrance to the 616 world.

And I never thought I'd say this, but I am so tired of Alex Ross covers.
And it's a damn shame when there's guys like Gene Colan, John Romita Sr., Mike Zeck, Sal Buscema, John Byrne and others out there who were responsible for a big chunk of the material the stories in this issue were based upon ...why didn't Marvel get those guys to do those 3-4 pagers?
What a treat that would have been, particularly on the Bernie story if done by Byrne. Nobody thinks these things out anymore in editorial.

I was told that she wandered in via the recent Loeb/Liefeld Onslaught Reborn series.

It was kind of odd seeing bits and pieces of what looked like Byrne art in there. Byrne doesn't seem interested in working for Marvel as long as Quesada's around, but never say never.

There was one of Bendis' Daredevil issues that was an anniversary of some kind that utilized a different artist from different era's of DD (including a couple of old school guys) for each page of a fight between Kingpin and Daredevil. Not sure if it worked too well within a single story sequence, but short stories would have been cool. Particularly since they were visiting different characters from different eras.

I thought I just read somewhere that Gene Colan was going to be doing some Cap work....I could be wrong...

I LOVE Gene Colan! I especially loved his early work in Ironman and Conan. Great stuff!

actually for Cap fans, a great nod to those of us that have collected over the years. as far as the story, it has been as good as the rest of this run, It's the calm before the storm...The setup book...all in all i love it, but then again cap is one of my absolute favorite books ever......

So I picked this up today.....comic shop had TONS....both covers.....definitely a bust IMO. Usually when I go on a Saturday if something is HOT it's long gone.....not the case today. I feel sorry for the shops that felt the need to pay extra for the Monday shipping.

I'm thinking that when Bruce comes back, the entire Bat-Family randomly draws costumes out of a hat, so that Alfred has a shot at the Nightwing Tights, Tim might draw the Butler uniform, Damian gets glasses/computer/wheelchair, ManBat has to squeeze those wings inside of the Azrael armour, etc.

In an event dubbed "Raffle for the Cowl".

To make it even more fun, they can add the "steal" option, like you do with Secret Santa. Cassandra might actually end up with the Batman costume early on, but that @#$% Huntress decides she doesn't want the tattered Man-Bat Jeans and forces the trade.
