I agree, I liked Red robin, although I'd rather he patch things up with Dick and not buy into Damians act

It really depends on what you read...
I picked up Red Robin # 1... & Do like what I read lastnight,.. I think it may be a Keeper for me,.. for a Bit,.. Tim is on some crusade to Find Bruce,.. He left Dick, & is I believe going by his Adopted Name of Tim Wayne. He is pretty hell bent on finding Bruce,.. because he believes he is still alive. It Seems as if Ras Al Ghul is Watching Tim's move too...., Which added to the story's appeal imo.

Getting to the reason I quoted you in the 1st place,
It seems as if the Artist penciling the book, has a Very difficult time Drawing Tim in the 1st place. When Tim is outta uniform...., to me Tim looks as if he is still that Teenager ,.. maybe still 17 to 19 range... in the Suit,.. he looks as if he is 25 sometimes,.. sometimes 30,.. & there was 2 panels where he looked as if he were still in his Teens. The cover for the Book,.. he looks as if he is atleast 25. Hopefully if the Artist stays with the book,.. he will be able to adjust his pencil interpretation a bit better.

As lackluster as all the Battle for the Cowl crap was, the new Batman books have been quite good. Damian will end up be a character fans love to hate. And Dick as Batman with him actually believing Bruce isn't coming back — unlike in Prodigal — is better than I expected.

    I wholeheartedly agree.

If it keeps readers entertained for even a year before Bruce comes back, I think longer least til the new movie comes out which is 2 years away easy

then think of it...the return of Nightwing

^^ My fave of the Morrison arcs is the Black Glove one followed by RIP. Batman and Son was ok as a build up to RIP, but it really felt overstuffed/writing for the trade sort of thing.

    Morrison's 2 Tales,..
    Batman and Son
    &
The Rise of Ras Al Ghul

    Both were very good imo.

I think the difference between then and now is that O'Neill (or Julius Schwartz or Len Wein or...) was steering the direction of the Bat titles....nowadays EVERYTHING is an "event" and DiDio seems to be very heavy into the direction of all of these titles. I can't even tell you who the actual editor is today for the Bat-books. Back in the day when you had guys like Dick Giordano in the head seat as editorial V.P. (or whatever the title is) he was more hands off and let the actual books' editors do their job. And "events" were almost unheard off....

Well, if Ditko was involved, Damian WOULDN'T be Robin, because Ditko's objectivist beliefs would brand him a criminal.

As for Dick letting Blockbuster die, that was during Devin Grayson's run, or as I like to call her, the female Judd Winnick. She totally ruined the Nightwing title, and Dick was grossly out of character for her iwhole run. She even had him raped by the female Tarantula (who was the one who killed Blockbuster, I believe). Most of her output always read as bad fanfic.

Come to think of it, the Batbooks haven't been good in well over 10 years, since Denny O'Neil left, really.

I don't think Tim even Knows they are Back...
At the Time of Bruces Death,.. Bart Returned to the Teen Titans,.. with no Tim Present. Conner's in the Future,.. Tim's in the Present.

I don't believe Tim will ever lighten up,.. reguardless of if he finds out the 2 are alive ... DC's written the character Dark,.. & More & More Like Bruce for the Past 2&1/2 + Yrs Since the start of this,.. I think that is just the Direction of the character.

    BTW,

Anyone Catch Dan Ditko's rant on Killing Dick in Identity Crisis ? ... He turned it into a Speach of Just How Awesome He is,.. Because He Made Dick Batman instead.
