Just pick up Batman #687...and I must say I'm quite happy.
The story was handled well, and it didn't hurt having great Artwork(love Ed Benes). If you think about it...Batman does everything with a purpose. So...the minute he took Robin in as his Ward, and began training him...he had already decided Dick would one day take his place, were he to die in Battle.
And yeah I know...Dick stood in for Batman once before, but this time it's different because Dick truely believes Bruce is dead. And that adds a lot weight to his taking on the mantle of "The Bat".
I'm really interested in seeing Dick's first Rooftop meeting with Com.Gordon. Will he tell him who he is? I think that would add a lot to Gordon trusting the NEW Batman...knowing he was Nightwing & the original Robin.
