Favourite John Byrne

His Hulk run really set the tone for Peter David's run for Hulk.

He separated Banner/Hulk

He married Bruce and Betty
those are key points to the Hulk's story, and I loved that Byrne did that.

His Alpha Flight run was awesome too!

Great stuff, always was a HUGE fan of his.

So what's up with him these days? Has he byrned enough bridges at the big two that he has to take work at smaller publishers now?

X-Men the Hidden Years. Cancelled by Quesada, and it doesn't look likely that Byrne would return there while Joe Q is in charge. Although never say never, since they did offer him a couple of "The End" projects, including one that would have reunited him with Claremont on X-Men.

I noticed Byrne's been doing Star Trek and Angel comics at IDW. I can't remember the name of that spinoff they tried to do out of Trek, but Byrne did a series based around that.

Byrne was enjoying himself on X-Men:The Hidden Years(as was I reading it)...so Byrne got really upset when Quesada cancelled it. The sales numbers were really good on it...so John couldn't unstand Quesada's logic...neither could I ??
