What are your favourite Fantastic Four storylines?

I'm really enjoying the current Mark Millar/Bryan Hitch run right now. I think having Valeria inheriting her father's genius is inspired, particularly on the emotional level with the sibling rivalry involving Franklin. That is definitely a wonderful story-engine with a great amount of potential.

Although, when did Franklin lose his psychic powers from when he was a member of Power Pack? I know he's got a great deal of potential mutant powers that they have hinted at over the years (everything from him eventually becoming Galactus in Earth X, to the future incarnation in Days of Future Past spinoffs, to the issues where he suddenly becomes a grown up), I wonder if that has anything to do with M-day?

My first Doom story as a kid was the issues leading up to 200 where they introduced Doom's "son". I have a soft spot for those issues, although I guess they don't really fit too neatly into continuity.

Not necessarily a FF story, but I always loved the Thing storylines where he went up against the outer space mob.

      Marvel Zombies Series 1 .
Mr. Fantastic,.. In efforts to better understand Zombie-ism,.. Reed Injects the Virus into Himself, Sue, Torch & Thing,.. Thus the Last stand for the MainStream Hero's comes to an End. ...

But if truth be told,.. Thats the only FF Story I remember..., I never even read a FF Book Until Jim Lee did his 10 issue Hero's Reborn Run,.. & Obviously it might not have been that good, because I don't remember,.. I just remember the cover to issue # 1...., it's Fantastic.

Just never been a Die hard Fan of FF.

Big fan of the original Galactus Trilogy and pretty much Byrne's run on the book (the last couple of issues weren't up to par though). I like the Waid run on the book and I'm currently reading the Millar/Hitch arc.

The entire Kirby/Lee run was great. The Negative Zone storyline from the Byrne days, also thought Byrne did a great job with Doom, making him a more fleshed out character beyond the "I hate Reed Richards" part of Doom.

Aside from the previoulsy mentioned Galactus trilogy, there was an arc where they battled "salem's seven". I orginally read it as hardcover compilation that wasn't entirely in color. Another story I liked just because it was different was when Reed & Sue left , and Thing took over as leader. It was an intresting take seeing Thing and Torch as the senior members of the team.

Fantastic Four 48-50 The coming of Galactus Legendary issues.

Fantastic four 51 This man this monster. Classic FF

Byrnes FF run second only to Lee and Kirby

Ultimate Fantastic Four 27-32 "Frightful" probably the best FF storyline I had read in years......

This Man, This Monster was the one where a bad guy replaces Ben but ends up sacrificing himself once he gets a taste of being a "Good Guy" right?

Great issue. Definitely a classic. I also love the Doom Patrol sendup of that issue.

Despite the ridiculous "Teen" version of the Ultimate FF, I did enjoy Mark Millar's run that introduced the Zombified FF. Particularly the ending that had Ultimate Doom facing off against the Zombie Marvel U.

You Know,.. I just recently found those the other day in my House.
I know thats where everything Kinda Came from,,... or rather that was the 1st . I bought those before the Whole Marvel Zombies #1 came out,.. But misplaced them,.. then Never read them. That One cover , I think drawn By Land,.. of Sue all Zombied out,.. made me purchase the book,.. it was a Very W-T-F Moment.
I'll have to check it out ...

I bought the 1st couple of issue of the Ultimate FF Previous to this,.. but after reading them,.. I just didn't care much for them.

I am However so far digging the Ultimatium series,.. but am not picking up any of the Tie in books...

I have never, ever really cared for anything Byrne Related as well either. The stories just leave me not Caring.... But Granted, I have not read many.

Byrne was on Fantastic Four as writer/artist from #232 ('81) to and ended as writer on #293 ('86)....his last couple of issues were drawn by Jerry Ordway.

Really? When Byrne is on the ball his stuff has been GREAT...his Fantastic Four, She-Hulk, Superman are all high points (and of course his work on Uncanny X-Men with Chris Claremont). But he's also had quite a few career bumps, a lot of them due to editorial conflicts.

This is probably going to sound bad but I can't really vividly recall any specific storylines and I was a HUGE F.F. fan. I have pretty much every issue from the early 100's up to the end of the REAL F.F. before Marvel dumped me as a fan and started over with #1.
I did like the Byrne era and obviously there are some classic Lee/Kirby stories. The one that popped into my mind right now is the one where Byrne made the Thing look like he did in F.F. #1 and there was also a She-Thing at some point as well. I also liked the sideways issue.
