No that's Martian Manhunter's ridiculous costume Didio thought he needed to have after Infinite Crisis (along with the goofy pointy pinhead). Another classic needing no help from DC, yet screwed by editorial meddling.

Yeah the One Year Later stuff really tanked BIG TIME....pretty much across the board. They give Manhunter a new costume and a mini-series....which no one cared for....then they decide to kill him off because "obviously" he can't carry his own book.

Typical of DC editorial...not just now but years in the making. Fans request certain characters, yet when DC brings them out they twist & change them into different versions that don't sell, then the characters get shoved to the back again, only to have the same thing happen a few years later. Examples:

Doctor Fate- got his own series in that bizarre man/woman combo thing then just made a woman..not to mention Fate who they killed off

Doom Patrol- too many screwed up versions to count

        Eclipso- God of Vengeance?

Challengers of the Unknown- The weird old man Loeb/Sale mini, then another weird new version with new members, then whatever that Howie Chaykin train wreck was

Zatanna- well, the powers were the same but they changed the best female costume ever into that goofy blue cape-arms thing

The only change series that ever really worked (IMHO) were Sandman & Starman, mostly because of great writing that encompassed all other versions in ways that were innovative. They were faithful to prior continuity but still managed to add to the mythos without condesention or callousness. Of course, the key to both series was that DC editorial was hands-off, and Gaiman & Robinson were allowed to follow their plans without interference.

How about The Metal Men? I sorta of liked the Jurgens mini but then nothing else ever came of that. ( didn't like Gold getting killed off though and replaced by Doc Magnus as Veridium.

Then they just did an incomprehesnible revival a year or so back....Bleeech!

Hopefully the upcoming Garcia-Lopez pencilled version in Wednesday Comics and also the back-up in Doom Patrol will get the Metal Men right again.

Under Martian's is a small thin hand- Katma Tui? The original Mirror Master is next in line (Sam Scudder died during the original Crisis). Ronnie Raymond, the original Firestorm. No clue on the red sleeved hand next. Abin Sur next, that looks like a GL arm? Then the brown gloved hand- Original Spectre? No idea on the last red sleeved arm- Sue Dibny? And the blue hand next to Aquaman- Batman? It looks like Black Hand dug the skull out of his grave.
The blue hand I think could be Blue Beetle. Might be wrong.

It seems outta the 4 or 5 revamped characters,.. the New Beetle was the only one anyone actually put any time & Effort in.

Yeah, I personally never cared for that one, especially the little hat thingie. Give me those fishnets, baby!
Have you ever seen Paul Dini's wife Misty Lee the Magician? Wowzers!

And you mentioned Metal Men...the Jurgens mini was ok artwise for me, but the concept of real people being the robot's basis? Nah! Then the Doc as a robot thing...no way! Nothing wrong with the original concept...and from what I'm reading, that's what they'll be doing in the new series ( I hopes!)

DC keeps on pushing Blue Beetle though for some reason...His many appearances in Brave and the Bold alone are proof of that...I just don't get it.

I hope they don't use Jim Corrigan Spectre. There would be no body anyway. He was tossed into a drum and filled with cement and tossed into the river by mob guys. I would love to see Corrigan back as the Spectre though. Really don't like the new one. If they weren't going to use Corrigan anymore, they should have let the Spectre go in peace like Jack Knight Starman.
