I'm a HUGHE Fan of Neil Adams...and He doesn't make Batman overly Muscle bound.

At the begining of "Hush"...Jim Lee way over did Batman's size...but I think realized his mistake, and trimed him down to a more normal BATMAN size...and drasticly improved the Art on the Book!

Not a knock on Sam Keith. He's very good.

Exactly. I liked him better as a short runt. Gave him character. Hugh Jackman is way too
tall. They should dig a ditch on the set and make him stand in it.

I like Jackman, but he's not my first choice. Too much of a pretty boy.
Logan should be short, meaty, and older. He's a Wolverine, not an irish Wolfhound!
Personally, I'd go for Michael Ironside, and a good wig!
      Nuff said!

I'm all for staying true to the Comics...but Jackman really embodied the essence of the Character to me! I don't care how tall he is...he was PERFECT in the role!!

Yeah he was good, but the essence of the character is a small guy that can take out everybody that looks down on him. jackman really doesn't have anyone looking down on him. they really needed to stick to that one detail to really capture the character better.

You think the essence of Wolverine is how short he is, and that's what gives him his attitude ...and not all the things that happened to him in life?? Never mind then...I see no further point in debate.

I wouldn't call his "shortness" the essence, though I do think that it's a big part of it. Short and feisty, unlike those towering superheroes.
Being short myself, I could identify with Wolverine more as he was back then.
I mean, when you look at Puck, of Alpha Flight, you hardly want him six foot, right?

That, and it made him DISTINCT. He looked different 'cos he was a head smaller than anyone else in the panel. For me, they lose out when they standardize stuff like character heights and physiques 'cos you loe another way of differentiating and individualizing the cast.
