    Wally is the JLU Flash.

Barry was the live action TV Flash. Although oddly enough his supporting cast was Wally's. (Tina McGee)

What is going to be most interesting is to see how Wally and Barry interact in regards to their respective world-views. Given the respective eras they operated in, Barry's sense of right and wrong, justice and law, is so much more black and white than Wally's. Plus, Barry is a cop. Wally always seemed like just a regular guy trying to do his best with difficult situations.

Think about it. Wally operated much differently than Barry. He tended to befriend Rogues and give them opportunities for redemption and rehabilitation. Speed McGee. Chunk. Pied Piper. Trickster. His con-man Dad. Mason Trollbridge's son.

It will be interesting to see how Barry can adjust to a world that has much more moral ambiguities.

Even Jay has shown he's evolved over the years in regards to his relationship with an enemy like The Shade.

    Well,
I finally read the 1st Book.
Let me Start off by saying,.. That I starting reading comics other than Batman in about 86. In the Comicbook World,.. Unless it was a Ross book,.. Wally Was & Has been Flash in My World.

Sure on the TV Show, Cartoons & Super Friends it was Barry,.. However I don't think any of those Shows Protrayed Barry in a Sense where His character had a different Mind frame then Wally. Infact,.. I can't remember what Flash was on JLU,.. But to Me the Character Persona of the Flash on that Cartoon was More so Wally.. But I am Basing this Opinion off of the Boring ,.. He don't Know why He is Here Barry from Rebirth.

I feel Confident that the Book will be a good One.
I also hope that Flash's new book , when it comes out, is as good as What DC Did to Green Lantern.
However After reading the 1st Issue,.. I was alot less impressed,.. than I was after reading GL Rebirth. I think the BS "Here he is , there he goes, whats going on" Showcase of Barry in Final Crisis, Hurt the Idea of Him Comming Back with this Book. The 1st issue was a Real Drag for me After Reading this,.. I hope that the Story will offer some insight in my Mind,.. as to Why Even Do this. Why Even Bring Barry Back ? So Far from the 1st Issue,.. That's pretty Much what everyone in the comic is saying too.

    I guess we will see.

Don't think Barry will be getting a new costume. Maybe a version of the original with the lightning trim tweaked a bit. Kinda senseless to bring him back as THE flash only to change the costume on him...but then again, DC has been doing some pretty senseless things of late (Koff! Mary Marvel! koff!).

Don't see Jay Garrick going away anytime soon either, I expect him to become more prominent as has Alan Scott in the GL universe. Jay & Alan serve the purpose of having Flash & Green Lantern available while the modern versions are tied up in their own storylines elsewhere. And DC has been using him elsewhere...heck, he just got his own DCU action figure (which I grabbed at Target last week!). And did you catch him on Batman: The Brave & the Bold?
DC needs a few characters like Jay & Alan & Wildcat...elder statesmen whom everyone else respects. Always a nice touch to see the likes of Superman & Batman deferring to the original JSAers.

Lots of people have been talking about what will happen to Wally now that Barry is back. What if Barry is the one getting a new costume? Maybe Jay will retire and Barry will take over as the elder Flash?

I know we've seen Barry get splashed by chemicals and hit by lighting a million different ways in the past, but there is something very striking about the design of this cover!

Kirk doesn't chop wood. He lays the wood!

I hope the Flash family doesn't start looking like the Shazam family... All different colored variations of the same suit.

Van Sciver has already redesigned a suit for Wally to distance himself from Barry's look and maintain individuality. I haven't seen yet, but given his creative eye, it's probably very cool. I'd kind of like to see blue and gold on Wally.

I've already told My local Comic Shop to add it to my list! Being an oldtimer...I'm very happy Barry Allen is BACK! But don't fret Fans of Wally...DC has already said he'll still be around.

I need to pick this up, because I love the Flash, and really enjoyed Rebirth. But part of me just thinks this is wrong. Wally was fleshed out so well by Waids and Johns. And Barry being the patron saint of the DCU WORKED. It's the only thing from Crisis that stuck, and now it's undone.

You are correct...I misread the quote. #4 in April, #5 in June.
