I got quite a few the other day but for posterity's sake, let's say it was "Superman" #683...I like the cover.

I have no idea how many I have. I used to rely on memory for what issues I have but since I mostly buy back-issues now they are too expensive to buy doubles. I also decided to switch them all over to the short boxes after I hurt my back moving the long boxes once, LOL. I don't have them all in boxes currently but the vast majority are and I know I have well over 60 short boxes. I have been bagging & boarding certain books as I have been alphabetizing and reorganizing my collection over the past several months. I even have about 6 long boxes of books I've yet to read! I'm currently in the middle of reading the full run of DC Comics Presents.

I am glad I was part of your 10000th book history....... Think you got "Sups" from me.

Just wondering, when do you say that's enough?

^ Well since I've been buying for about 75% of my life (GULP! ) I'm not sure I could ever say that's "enough". I guess as long as there's space and as long as something continues to hold my interest I'll keep buying comics. When you know the various colors of Kryptonite like the back of your hand and have forgotten Moh's Hardness Scale you know you've got a problem.

And yup the Superman comic came from the batch I got from you.

That's a lot of comics, Anthony.

                My peak was 4000 comics.

I have since sold most of them.

It's funny, i started collecting comics in 1978 and i figured my total at around 8,000 a couple of years ago. i however got rid off all my valuable ones when my parents objected shorthly after i started. so gone are X-men 94-260 bought at cheap prices. and i did rebuy them when i got back into collecting. i did my Titans which i love. anyways, Congratulations on your achievement and now i'm going to go count mine and see how close i am to you. Oh, BTW i use big 4 drawer office filing cabinets to store mine. I saw them used on some interview with a rockstar showing off how he stores his collection. i bought 5 huge ones for under $100. they were a little damaged but i salvaged 4 complete one out of them the and they work great!
