I think Damian's too far out there for Dick to even possibly Control or Mentor. The Kid would probably Kill Dick in his sleep.

I think that's suppose to be Dick. His bat logo looks kind of like his Nightwing logo.

Something I just noticed - looks like Damian's got hold of the bandages from Bruce's leg. Could that be a clue that Damian's pulling the strings?

Something else that jumped out at me is the scarring on the penny. IIRC, the big penny was originally from a Joker story. No idea what the scarring could mean, other than something to do with Two-Face.

Maybe with the penny they went back and used the Batman:TAS origin for it?

I know a lot of people are big fans of Morrison (I like a lot of his stuff) but his work on Batman has left me cold. A lot of online commentators are going on and on about how brilliant it is. Maybe it's so brilliant I didn't get it?

Pretty picture but...ugh. We've already had a violent nutball as Batman. Dick has been Batman. Tim has been Batman in alternate timelines. The only original thing in that pic is Two-Face as Batman, and that's just plain stupid. Sounds like some filler story from the 1950s drawn by Sheldon Moldoff.

It looks like a female arm coming out of the crate. Oracle or Talia are probably dead by the end of this.

As messed up as things are in the DC Universe, that arm probably belongs to Martha Wayne or it's the long lost sister Bruce never knew about or it could be Alfred's daughter that he has been secretly training.

Shortly before the Crisis (the first one), Alfred's daughter was introduced. Her name was Julia Remarque, and her mother was none other than Mademoiselle Marie, from the old Kanigher/Kubert Sgt. Rock stories. She hung around Wayne Manor for a few years and was a love interest for Bruce. She was jettisoned from continuity after Crisis.

Funny thing is, Alfred has a beret on in that pic, just like Marie. So you never know...

Actually, I thought that Alfred's in his outfit he wore when he was working with Mademoiselle Marie and the French resistance. I seem to remember an old Detective around 500 that showed him back then...

^^ It'd be cool if there was one scene in Final Crisis where that earth was wiped out. Earth N(ipple)
