I think I knew the batman one even before I knew the real one (74) but if it was know in the 60's it might even predates the show. This could go back all the way to a Bill Finger comic in the late 40's or Dick Sprang in the 50's where comedy ruled in batman with almost as many corny jokes as the 60 's show
Kind of like:
How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie role center of a tootsie pop..... The world may never know

Most likely someone jingled it on a radio station, then it grew from there..Peace.. Through Superior Firepower.

The McDonalds song is from this old 60S commercial:
YouTube - MCDONALDS IS YOUR KIND OF PLACE
Note that back then the restaraunt seemed to actually care as to whether or not they were clean & had good food.
And here's a link to even more variant lyrics to the McDonalds song:

From Wikipedia
* A well-known children's playground song uses the "Jingle Bells" melody:
Jingle bells, Batman smells,
Robin laid an egg;
The Batmobile lost a wheel,
And the Joker got away! (Joker did ballet Or "Batman did ballet!" usually with a shout of 'Hey' at the end)
* This particular version was sung (by the Joker himself - as voiced by Mark Hamill) in "Christmas with the Joker", an episode of Batman: The Animated Series.
* Bart Simpson sings this version on The Simpsons, the first time being on "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire".
* This song was sung by Robert Goulet in The Simpsons episode "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)", but was circulated by children as far back as the early 1970s.[citation needed]
* The last two lines were spoken in the Justice League Unlimited episode "Panic in the Sky" as a joke by Flash when asked where Batman was (the others invloved did not think it was funny in the least)
* In episode 521 of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Santa Claus), Mike and the Robots dub this version of the song during the opening credits.
* A slightly better rhyming version, often sung in the UK goes as follows:
Jingle bells, Batman smells,
Robin flew away;
Kojak lost his lollipop,
But found a Milky Way

I remember this from as far back as 1969, but it was already well established by then.
I think I remember hearing that it may have been one of Dr. Demento's parodies on his radio show, but I can't remember were I heard it from.Chris
