I thought the Captain American Movie with the Red Skull was the first, not to be confused with two Captain American made for TV movies.

      Cap was after Punisher

It had problems but wasn't a terrible movie.

I actually like it better than the thomas jane punisher.
The new one came out yesterday didn't it?

I do think it was inexcusable that they didn't spend $2.99 to get the black shirt silk screen.

Actually I believe there was a captain America movie made in 1944 so that is the first marvel based movie however they were not marvel then.Failing your acceptance of that, how about Howard the duck in 1986...LOL

The Lundgren one was definitely the best. With the Ninja element it at least had a little Frank Miller Flavor.

I like that movie the mistake they made was they called it the Punisher....which it was not. if it would have been a generic action flick i would have liked it more.......

i thought that the new one would be better, since they actually put a "Real" villian in it, and it wasnt all mob based...

It was the 80's. EVERYBODY fought ninjas....

I think the big problem is that a guy who goes around without powers shooting people is a unique and odd thing in the Marvel universe; but in a movie it's just every 80's action film. It might work if he's treamed up with a powered hero, to show the contrast; but they're not gonna do that in a movie that's supposed to spark a new franchaise.

No Punisher movie has done Frank Castle justice.

They all look too weak. He should look harder, rougher, older.....

True. The Punisher would have worked well in a Daredevil movie. He is a contrast to DD. Throw in the Black Widow,Elektra,Bullseye and Kingpin......and you have the making of a good trilogy.

Daredevil seriously needs to be rebooted.
