Batman is too dark and has too many demons to be considered the greatest superhero of all times.

Supes set standards, but there was one guy.........
a guy who had Supes by 3 years.........
a guy who will fight anyone who disrupts the postive flow of things........
a guy who won't fight until his buttons are pushed..........
a guy who loves his girl, his dad, his adopted baby, and his dog.........
a guy who isn't perfect, who isn't pretty, who isn't the best at anything........
a guy we all wish we could be more like..........
a guy who fought for us in WWII I mean he single-handedly took out the Japanese AND the Germans...........
a guy who is MORE a cultural icon and is now almost forgotten in the eyes of the young children in America but forever remembered in the hearts and minds of the people in our age brackets and much older..........

As a kid he was the only other Hero I loved just as much as Hulk, his songs stick in your head (somewhere out in Palm Springs people are still sining "The Man on the Flying Trapeeze" and "Clean Shaven Man" thanks to me! They curse my name! Ha ha ha!)
his deeds are as amazing as the art the Fleischer brothers supplied for him, (remember they did Supes' toon soley due to the overall success of the Popeye cartoon) and I will always say Popeye can whip all of them, as the song goes.......

"I'm one tough "Galooka",
which hates all "Palookas",
wot ain't on the up's and squares!

I "BIFF's" em and "BOFF's" em and always outrousts 'em,
and none of em get's no where!

Man! I love that pic of Supes and Popeye! Great stuff Hec Fleischer art at it's finest! Yeah, Supes is also an American icon, no doubt! I love the Herc episode, and thanks KW for the Superman Popeye ep too! It's been since I was a kid since I had seen that one! See? I KNEW there were some fans of the One-eyed Sailor here!
