So I have attempted to tally the votes (in the previous post from members). I did not weight them by list order since some did not order and some listed fewer than 10 or changed as we went.
Standing head and shoulders above the rest:

      1 Hulk 13
      2 B & R 12
      3 Catwoman 12
      4 Superman IV 11

The first 2 had massive budgets and A list characters and still bombed.

      The other "winners" are:

      5 Batman Forever 8
      6 Superman III 7
      7 Batman Returns 7
      8 Elektra 6
      9 Punisher (lungren) 6
      10 X-3 5

I am pretty sure expectations of The other "winners" had someting to do with votes
For instance are they all worse than the first Reb Brown TV Cap America?

At any rate I am with the majority on 1 - 4 and 8

I love Bat Forever and think most people did -until batman and robin came out and wil forever be tied to that piece of...

Bat Returns and X-3 were fine in my book

and I think the punisher (lund) met my expectations but I can see why it makes many worst lists

^^^ Well anything at the theatre should be better than a made for TV movie like the Cap ones. The Lundgren Punisher is a B Movie and should be looked at like that instead of a big budget flop like Batman and Robin.

          >Hey! I think Judge Dredd is fine.

So... you haven't actually SEEN it yet, I guess?

Sad thing about Dredd; Demolition Man was a LOT more like Dredd than the Dredd film.

I did! Well... to be honest; I was more boggled by it than anything. It was REALLY cartoony, but they were trying SO hard to make it "grown up." (With all the swearing and such...)

1: Superman IV: The Quest For Peace: I read in Christopher Reeve's biography that Golan Globus literally ran out of money during filming, so the way it was edited, Reeve said it was un unfinished project

2: Batman and Robin: I don't hate this movie. I actually like some elements of it. But for the most part, Joel Schumacher trashed what could have been a great movie. With a title like Batman and Robin, I had high expectations. The only part I like the best is the rocket and sky surfing bit. But that's all.

3: Hulk: Nuff said. You can't beat the TV series with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. I only want to see another Hulk movie just to see if it will get the rest of the TV series on DVD.

                4: X2 and X3:

5: Roger Corman version of the Fantastic Four

                6: Elektra

7: Catwoman: Sucked bad, it makes Batman and Robin look good. If it ain't Selina Kyle, it ain't the real Catwoman. I rest my case.

8: Captain America: Every media version I have seen sucks!!!

9: Superman III: I only liked the battle between evil Superman and Clark Kent. Otherwise, stay away from it.

10: Batman Returns: Tim Burton got too carried away with his vision. The Penguin was too grotesque. Gotham City looked more like the Nightmare before Edward Beetlejuice Scissorhands.
                Cheers.

Don't even understand why they bothered calling it Man-Thing, its so far from the source material. I did like that the crazy monster hunter guy was named Ploog, tho. That was a nice tip of the hat.

i haven't watch it in a while but i'd imagine the dialog is like this
police captain: What are you going to do when you find them, Castle?
                        Doplh: they will be punished!!
