I cut 3 or 4 styrene rectangles roughly to the size of the disc I want and cut 45° angles on the corners. I then stick them together with double sided tape. This way I can make a few at a time and it makes it easier to hold, especially when working with such thin plastic. I use a sanding stick to shape them. After I'm satisfied with the shape I put them in a jar of mineral spirits to un-stick them from the tape without bending them. I then clean them off with alcohol and they are ready for paint.

Another excellent figure with suburb head paints. Kudos!

The use of the swizzle stick sword took me back to when I was a kid in the '70s-those didn't just work for 8" figures, but 3-3/4" as well. Thank you Mike for the trip down memory lane-I had forgot all about those little swords.

I saw the custom box on FB first. Anthony did a wonderful piece. Your custom is too fantastic for words. They say, the devil is in the details. Man, you got the details down. The way you perfect the heads before the final painting makes them look so factory produced. Thanks so much for sharing here.

Thanks dr_cyclops! I snagged one of your hunchback heads a few months ago from eBay before I found your amazing work on the forum & Facebook. I'm happy to say that not only is it well sculpted but the casting quality is impeccable. I'm looking forward to painting it.

I can't wait to see it! I really had fun sculpting Hunchback. Since I was not restricted to make-up on an actor, I really went all out of with the deformity of his head as well as features. Glad you got a good casting, I really had trouble with the mold, right up to the point when it gave out.
