No captain - they are not. they are made of some sort of hard material. Not resin though. also they are a little ruff to the touch -not smoothe.

Hey bagmonster - and anyone else looking for the extra pictures.

Instead of me just keep adding pictures here - I posted the additional pictures you wanted in my "Bat-Vin and the boy wonder thread"

    thanks

Ok so to answer a few of the questions that were posted:

The head is made of a hard substance. It is pretty solid.
It can be taken off and added to a different body.

If I had to compare it so a head I would say it is closer to the style of the last of the Mohigans heads. It is a little ruff when you touch it it is not totally smoothe.

They look better in person then the pictures show - for somereason when you take a picture of it - it looks imposed the pictures without the flash /like the spidy picture look much better and more accurate.

also It can be altered if you are good with silly sculpt etc.. but the details are more painted on then chisseled out.

If I missed anything please let me know and I will try to help
    thanks

Fantastic!! The question now becomes obvious...which Super Hero costume are you going to dress yourself in first! Perhaps a removable cowl Batman outfit! Great stuff!

It is hard to think of things that I love that haven't been made as an action figure yet that I would get made. Maybe my favorite band Soundgarden ...

Just a quick few follow ups to sosme of the comments:

I only placed the order on thursday - I believe the figure shipped out saturday or will do so on monday. So I have not held or touched the head just yet. - They were nice enough to send me the picture because I was so excited about it - to hold me over till the figure gets here. So once it gets here I will be glad to answer some of the other questions.

also to be honest - I did not think it would be a perfect copy - i knew there would be some flaws - I mean really - they have made 100's of Luke skywalker figures over the years - how many head sculpts really are dead on for Mark Hamill. But in this case I think the head had passed any of my expectations.

also a side note - I have been buying or making custom figures for a long time - as most if not all of you. A normal custom figure costs me 75.00-150.00 on average to make or buy depending on the parts involved (i do not paint heads - so i have to pay for that, and most of the time I get the my suits from Mike B and Brian L) so might cost me a little more than you handy guys. So when I saw the price tag of 130.00 for the 2 pack - for me and my son really I did not think it was bad at all. I Just bought a custom venom - cost me 150.00 - to pay 130.00 for me and my boy - Priceless. In this case I did not think it a high price - how many of us have 100's of customs? I have 7 different captain americas - and a handfull of spidys - Might as well have at least 1 Vinny in the set

My son will turn 3 in sept. - I showed him the picture and asked him "michael who is that?" - His eyes let up and said "Daddy" I pointed to the little one and asked the same he said "Michael" - He then says "daddy - your a toy! - me a toy to! I want to play with it"

That to me was an awsome 2-5 mins of quality time -

I wish I could give more on the other questions but since I do not make them - I'm not much help. I will take more pictures, and answer some of the other questions when it is in my hands (such as feel and stuff)

I just not want you all to think I was not answering them - I just do not know just yet
again I will get as much of that info as I can as soon as it gets here.

When you get the Mob-interrogated, bruise-colored, head, cast it and make un-bruised colored heads. Go into business for yourself selling copies of heads to customizers. Make back your investment and then some. It remains to be seen if this will catch on tho. Andgor,(?), toys offered this service for 12" figures and I never heard it took off.
It wouldn't work. The printout heads rely on the photo for detail. The head underneath is very generic and rough in texture. You're cast wouldn't come out well. I was researching this process for a job a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure Andgor was actually sculpting each head by hand. I can't imagine the time and effort is worth the money. Well, I guess it wasn't.
