    The Green Goblin Lives Again!

Hey gang...just showing off some more of my painting. I did this guy to match the four color interiors of the comics from the 1970's.
This is my favorite paint job to date.

Fantastic work! The Green Goblin is my favorite Marvel villain. And you paid him enormous respect with this exquisite paint job. Love your transitional tones around the cheeks and mouth. Looks like you dry brushed the scales on his arms and legs. Great execution. An excellent piece of work.

Uh, that's freaking awesome. I wish I could paint so well.

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Thank you very much for the kind words everybody!

MIB41, the skin was a five step process that took forever. LOL.
After priming, a light green bascoat was applied, then a wash of black green to bring out the scale detail. Then black and brown powdered pigment applied to the muscletone for shading. Followed up by a drybrush coat of the original color, followed by a second drybrush of custom metallic lime.

I wanted the scales to have a slightly armored metallic look to them.

                      Excellent job!!

Was noticing while looking at your close up shots, and thinking, how difficult would it be, even for a drug induced super villain, to hold himself on a rocket powered sled with just the strength in his toes?
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

That is so true....the Goblin glider never made much sense. It's only means of propulsion is a single jet out the back, yet it can hover in place. It has no visible means of steering or altitude control. He routinely "guns it" and should be thrown backwards by the force.

In reality, he'd take off like a rocket in one direction, and assuming he didn't immediately fall off, slam into the first obstacle he encountered at about 150 MPH. LOL.

Oh well, I guess you're not supposed to think about those things.
