I'm going to make Apollo as soon as my CTVT order comes in, but I need to decide wether or not to try and dye the jackets darker or stick with what I have.

So what do you think about the color? I need some opinions.

    Thanks everyone.

I'd dye it darker brown and it'll be perfect

Nice job! great use of the fearless fonzarelli jacket!
I grabbed a couple of those figures and found the helmets too small as well.

Very nice. Another project that needs to be factory produced!

If Mego had done these, they would have probably looked just like this (maybe with Dr. Zauis boots though??) I like the jacket as is, only because Mego probably would have done it in an off shade too. Otherwise, going darker wouldnt hurt.

              Holeee Smokes!

That's great! I never would have thought of ANY of those parts, and they work amazingly well!

If you're concerned with the jacket, dye it a darker shade; but I think it looks fine as is.

Grrrr! I contacted CTVT to ask about the Fearless Fonzarelli jackets, and if they could sell them separately. I was told that they are running low on the figure, so probably not.

Is there a pattern for the jacket in the customs section?

Looks good to me. The cigar really changes the expression from the original sculpt's goofy smile. Very clever.

As for the jacket, I think it looks great like you have it... but you did remind me of something I hadn't thought of in years. When I was a kid, I would put the Klingon shirt on my figures backwards to play Battlestar Galactica with my Megos. Really that Klingon outfit has a much more BSG vibe than Trek.

I'm thinking of using the jacket pattern over at the customs section to make my own.

All it needs are two rectangular tabs to indicate the front pockets, and that's pretty much it.

JediJaida, some of the CTVT western figures have jackets that might work with a little trimming, that was actually what I had planned to use until I picked up the Fearless Fonz at a collectibles shop.

                          Hey,

that Starbck figure looks very nice. This thread boosts me to pick up my own line of BSG custom Megos and omplete them. I did a Mego size version of the helmet. But it's a pain to create a proper mold for it to make additional copies.

Thanks, Thomas!! Things have been very busy. I stopped by at the museum briefl from time to time, but didn't post messeges.
But how could pass on a Starbuck custom, since the BSG Mego customs are my major project.
