    Here's my latest addition: Apollo
Still needs abit of finetuning on the blaster belt and a Galactica patch on the sleeve.

Here's the helmet, but it still needs a paint job (I wanted to do that after creating a mold from it)

They all look great, I like Apollo's sculpt. Did you enlarge the helmet?

No, it is a reduction of the 12" Majestic Studio BSG figures helmet.Ihad to cast it solid and then dremal out theentire inner part.

That sounds like a major pain in the patootie.

Love the customs, especially the Apollo and Baltar figures.

They are almost a dead on likeness of the actors!

Where'd you get the checkered trim in that size? That'd be a big help for those of us wanting to make our own.

I finally broke down and got a Fearless Fonzarelli. Mostly for the white jacket, which is what was used for this custom.

As far as I can tell, the reason it didn't take the dye very well is because it wasn't 100% cotton. The jacket might be made of nylon or acrylic, which doesn't take dye except in the initial stages.

To make more jackets, you might want to get out the good old digital camera and start taking close-up shots of the details. Like the fake pocket welts, the collar, cuffs and velcro closure.

Once THAT little chore is taken care of, see if there's anyone here that can make a tracing of the pattern, which should be pretty simple.

Simply turn it inside out, with the sleeves folded to the inside, and trace off the shoulder seams, armholes, sides and waistband. That is for the back.

For the front, it might be a bit more difficult. Especially if you want to trace it without taking it apart.

Place the jacket front right side down onto a piece of pattern tracing paper (either side will do, as you'll be making two of each side). Then, carefully trace around the neckline, shoulder seam, side seam and the curve of the armscye.

Or, you could do it the even easier way by leaving the jacket on the figure, placing the tracing material on TOP of it, and marking the appropriate seams without a seam allowance.

Once everything is traced off, true up the lines, and add 5/8 " seam allowance. That will give you plenty of room to sew the seam, and you won't strain your eyes trying to keep them on a 1/4 " seam.

Then, once you sew the seams, you add the collar, the velcro, and pocket tabs and voila! You have a BG jacket!

Tedious? Of course it's tedious! That goes without saying. But you have the satisfaction of knowing that you did it yourself.

And don't expect it to come out perfect the first time, either. Don't get fussed over the prototype; just sit back, look at any errors you made, then do it over.

And if it still drives you nuts, ask someone here if they can make a jacket for you.

I'm not into any of that but I do like how you did that. Very close to the character. Nice job! I can't not say anything because I don't know the show. Good job!
