I just got a Mego Batmobile on Ebay...then I found this thread.

I think I'd rather have one of these : )

Maybe a Kickstarter could help fund actually producing these guys!

This is just breathtaking work. First your Batman stage costumes, then this... your talent is inspiring. Would love to see pics with figures in it!

Loving this story, I've been trying a similar size with polypropylene sheets which I've since abandoned as no glue will stick to it (research boy research)

Agreed. I have always like the closed up Futura look. I'm down for the total tinted look.

I'm gettin' there. I promise! Right now, as we speak, the sculpt for the seats is being molded and cast into soft, spongy seats. So custom Batman and Robin will actually sit on CUSHIONED seats... NOT rigid plastic. I am also vaccuforming the bubble windshield canopy.

By the way, this custom Batmobile will be made with the screen accurate bubble canopy as seen in the '66 TV show. HOWEVER, I am seriously considering also producing an additional cockpit covering section to the canopies so that the car can have fully enclosed protective bubbles for the Batman and Robin! This feature would be a nod to the ORIGINAL canopy configuration of the Lincoln Futura base car, AND it would be a logical approach to The Dynamic Duo's defensive approach to protect themselves from sniper fire from above. On a personal note, despite my complete ADORATION for the '66 Batmobile design as it appeared on the show, I think I would actually have liked it better with fully enclosed bubbles... especially if they were dark tinted! How wicked!!!
