Like someone said, it's unrealistic to compare a talented customizer's work with a factory produced item, but if FTC's Batgirl looked even half as good as this it would be a monster seller!
A truly incredible figure I'd love to (be able to afford!) own.

Are they held together with rubber bands? Or are they peg bodies?
the legs are rubber bands to the torso, arms are plastic joints. Mattel would have been so better off ditching the rubber bands altogether. I moved a Harley FTC over to a Mattel body and its a lot better, I just need to shorten the sleeves a little and tighten them up. The Mego style female body needs to be sent to the cornfield.

    Absolutely, stunningly brilliant work, Jess!

And regarding the Mattell Retro female bodies, Jaida: Those muscular thighs are PRECISELY what give them the alluring female curves that are just not available on vintage mego, FTC, or, Zica Yvonne females.

Another repaint started. Doesn't look very hopeful but I am convinced that you can not mess up the paint job on Batgirl if you go nice and slow.

After some more futzing, the eyes are almost done.
