I think his suggestion was to remove the collar, trim fabric around the neckline to allow a "deeper" fit, & reattach the collar.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

If you want to sell the boots when they are finished I would be happy to buy a couple pair.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

I did check tothiro's thread out on the jacket alterations, unfortunately his pictures are not there anymore. He did remove the collar and reattached along with a "spacer" because he was also saying there was not enough material to the original collar and was suggesting using another jacket to cut pieces out of to make the right sized collar.

I really don't want to get that extensive with jacket alterations so I am trying some simpler fixes (I think?).

So I removed the excess material from the collar which is at the neckline and with the shrunken head, the Type S body and the shirt removed, because the Velcro on the shirt is also affecting the fit of the original jacket, I think the jacket fits better.

Still have to remove the Velcro from the shirt but after all these easy fixes, the jacket should fit better, lol.

As far as the helmet, haven't made too much additional progress on that because I sidetracked myself with some other changes.

Here's a shot of how the jacket is fitting so far.

I think it looks good! You may be able to tighten the fit of the shirt and try alternate fasteners as well.

          Thanks for sharing.

Yeah the Velcro goes the full length of the shirt and adds too much bulk where you don't want it. I'll remove that and add some snaps instead and while I am doing that I might as well tighten the fit of the shirt too, lol.

I did a little more work on the Viper pilot helmet recently. It's not quite done but i'm getting real close.

Stunning. So, can these be cast in resin?

Also, it occurs to me that the chin bar could be removable, like the FTC Evel helmets? Easier on & off.

Thanks! And yes I am planning on casting these. The one shown now was actually cast but then I made changes after that so it has to be cast again.
