    Ark of the Covenant

Hey guys, the only role I have in this are the pictures, I wanted to test out my new camera for The Old Man.

My father did all the work here. He obtained files of the Ark and after 10 hours of printing and couple hours of painting, he made this beauty.
My pictures barely do it justice. For scale purposes, a CAT Jones was in the background.

Side panels will come shortly. Also, LED lighting might be added for the blinding light effect as it opens.

    Enjoy:

Thanks everyone, I'm gonna try to make some side panels tonight so we can get this beauty to really shine.

And Derek, since Dr. Jones is on his way over here, he should just stay for a LOOOOOOONG time. My Ark is gonna need a buddy.

                        Yessir, thanks!
The process sure has come a long way from earlier this year.
My finishing process combined with my dialed in resolution of the printer really make MakerBot shine.
The boy ain't kidding either when he said ten hours.
I had to print the pieces and assemble. The main body took 4.5 hrs on high res...I started about 6am and kept the printer running nonstop until about 5pm...then I did my post process.

Still deciding on the poles to put with it too.

                            Reading my mind.
We usually have cooking skewers in the kitchen, but we are out.
                            I have some stains already.
