I favor the mask without the nose covering, myself. Excellent idea of using the Scotty head - the nose and jawline are reminiscent of Clayton Moore, and a noseless mask would really nail his version of the Lone Ranger.

Cool side note for Lone Ranger fans, last week on the Ohio Turnpike I passed a horse trailer and it was plastered with "Lone Ranger and Silver on tour" Seems that John Hart is still touring.Comment

Use a Commander X Figure. He already has a painted on Mask...and the mustache is easily removable with Acetone.

I would paint the color style mask on and make a removable b&w style that would cover the painted mask. Best of both worlds!Comment

If the actor/episodes YOU like best were the mask with the nose covered then do that one.
I do like the idea of doing the less seen one.
I saw a Green Hornet comic where in a family portrait the Ranger had a mask on that covered his mouth as well like Chaneys Phantom.Comment
