Thank you SO much, guys. You're so kind with you comments. I'm solving some issues with articulation --specially at the arms-- but I promise to post back soon with more updates for this body and a male 'animated' version I'm working on simultaneously.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for taking the time.

      Latest Mods...

I just can't believe it's been already six months since I posted in here. Well, apart from trying to survive in real life on a daily basis, I've been working on and off on this female body, mostly making modifications to allow me to increase the range of movement and simplify the casting process for the pieces...

And I discovered that using ball joints I was able to solve many of the issues that oddly shaped articulations caused me, with bubbles and trapped air in the resin...

I've also segmented the torso in three parts, increasing the posing range for the figure...

And proper molds for the upper body are mostly done as I post this. Currently, I'm crafting both arms' and legs' molds, and I'm confident in the next few days I can post a completely cast figure, for you to judge... The final will differ somehow from what you can see here, as I've been reworking the shapes and connecting articulations as I go with this, but anyhow, I wanted to share with you, guys...

I'll still buy one (or more) when (not if) they become available!

This is music to my eyes! Please finish this and start a-sellin'!
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Here ya go, guys and gals... My pre-production final:

I'm mostly done with its molds. If everything goes just as smooth, I think I'll be able to start production on this babies in a week or so...

So I might have some ready for shipping around the first half of November...

Just in time for x-mas!!! (Keep my fingers crossed)
              Can you notice the changes?

looking forward to getting some of these, if you can pose yours next to an EMCE or Mego figure for comparison. thanks.

That looks awesome! Will it accommodate a standard Mego head?

Hi, Bobws. Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately I had to get rid of my collection during my last economic crisis, so I might have trouble placing my figure by the side of an actual Mego, but I'll do my best to provide comparison pictures, nonetheless...

Thank you, Sprytel. I doubt this gal could use a soft vinyl head... The solid head piece is what holds the figure together, so it might need some customization to use a different head... Anyways, I think original Mego heads would deviate a big deal from the general idea of this body, but who knows...

I was not dead... Not yet.
Since I am a master of revisionism, and my last version for the female body had too many pieces that resulted in a nightmare at casting them... I decided to simplify the figure, without sacrificing articulation. Here is the latest version, by the side of a regular Mego body, and a male body I have also been working on...

The female has the appropriate height, luckily. I was very worried about this, but after getting the black, generic body through mail --one made with such bad quality plastic that it actually came in with both legs shattered-- I was able to testify this gal is properly scaled. No more wondering about interaction with old collections...

The male is still too large for my tastes. I need to shorten him down, because I want this guy to be a "basic" figure, instead of a tall one...

Long time, no posts, guys... Comments are welcome, as always.

yeah, those CTVT bodies suck. Great job so far, I like the sculpting style that is showing on the hands and head of the male body.
