You can still produce your own Lonnie. In this field, the more the merrier. Craig's stuff is great and yours will be as well. Maybe you can produce clothes that fit instead of being saggy and baggy.

I guess that makes this thread irrelevant....
Glad to hear something is in the works. Thanks for spilling some of your beans. I can't wait to hear more about the new body!

The original ZICA Buck Rogers was a great muscular bandless body. Unfortunately the waist size and limited articulation detracted from it. The current ZICA/CAT Type "S" body is the best bandless body out there. It was built to be easily modified and/or upgraded as it features detachable limbs. There is an upgrade kit to give a more muscular look and add enhanced articulation. Unfortunately there has been no additional offerings for the body such like extra forearms (i.e. lizard or creech) or lower legs (i.e. molded star trek boots) to maximize customizing potential... There's a lot of potential for this body but no extra offerings whatsoever.

As for a female bandless body its about time someone developes one. The Mego and Re-Megos are pure crap. Mattel retro weren't that bad but I wonder why Mattel insisted in bow legs for its retro bodies... And the ZICA Yvonne body just looks off proportion and anatomy.
Who's going to be the pioneer for a new female bandless body?

I'd like to see one sculpted a bit more realistically, so it would look good if you were making a Conan or Tarzan. I always wondered why no one tried to make a 1/9 body with the sort of musculature sculpt we got in the 70s w/ Mattel's Pulsar. For the time, that was a phenomenal body--Kenner's SMDM looked kind of schlubby in comparison. If someone made a decent body as well-sculpted as ACI's 1/6 "Andrew" base body, people would go nuts for them.

Yeah, a sketch or completed drawing would be nice.

I guess I wanted to have a new body manufactured a lot more than the rest of you wanted one put into production. I was going to have molds made and have them professionally factory produced. It would have been better than the Zica Buck Rogers body.
    Oh, well...
Hey Lonnie, what does the ideal updated figure look like in your mind' eye?

This is great news! I've been hoping for this since you posted the ideas of an updated body sometime back.
I guess trying to plan for something like this is quite complicated in case another company does a compatible figure for a different line of figures and then dumps a lot of bodies on the market quite cheap.

Type S is the best for most things, but a buffer body, ala Zica, would be nice. I'd also like to see additional height. Many of the 1/6th figures companies address these issues with specialized bodies, etc. Perhaps that will come our way eventually.

I've got nothing against a better built male body, Lonnie. They are a must for serious collectors and customizers.

All of the points made in the original post still apply. I mean, why should we pay through the nose to FTC, when most of their stuff is garbage? Overpriced garbage at that.

If you DID go into production, I'd gladly buy anything you made. If you made heads to go with them, I'd be even more in your camp.
