Remember that many armed goddess in the movie, Thief of Baghdad? That might be the woman you're looking for; although she doesn't have interchangeable breast plates.

The feet should swivel. Kevin Von Erich doesn't swivel at the feet, but he has a mid ankle swivel (which is even more anatomically bizarre and inaccurate) so the "foot swivel" is still technically there. Feet swivels are great for posing, so you can turn a foot to the the side more. Real feet have more or less of a ball joint and unless you're replicating that ball, yo need the swivel to help maintain balance in deeper stances.

Frankly, I'm happy with Type S.

The Mego female body is a mess and needs a full overhaul. Yvonne body looked a bit too articulated to me. I'd settle for a Type S but done with a slightly more shapely female form.

Type-s is the best body on the market, but I'd like one even better. From the responses, I gather a new female body is wanted. I won't have anything to do with making one, so the comments on a female body are moot. I guess I wanted to have a new body manufactured a lot more than the rest of you wanted one put into production. I was going to have molds made and have them professionally factory produced. It would have been better than the Zica Buck Rogers body.
          Oh, well...

I've got nothing against a better built male body, Lonnie. They are a must for serious collectors and customizers.

All of the points made in the original post still apply. I mean, why should we pay through the nose to FTC, when most of their stuff is garbage? Overpriced garbage at that.

If you DID go into production, I'd gladly buy anything you made. If you made heads to go with them, I'd be even more in your camp.

Type S is the best for most things, but a buffer body, ala Zica, would be nice. I'd also like to see additional height. Many of the 1/6th figures companies address these issues with specialized bodies, etc. Perhaps that will come our way eventually.

I'm not going to spill all of the beans just yet but I will say that a new, modern 8" male body is currently in the works. Its proportions are perfect for a super hero type figure and it's got plenty of articulation.

This is great news! I've been hoping for this since you posted the ideas of an updated body sometime back.
I guess trying to plan for something like this is quite complicated in case another company does a compatible figure for a different line of figures and then dumps a lot of bodies on the market quite cheap.

Hey Lonnie, what does the ideal updated figure look like in your mind' eye?

Yeah, a sketch or completed drawing would be nice.

It'd be really nice if there were multiple body types or the ability to customize the body with different torsos, etc. Be great if there was a teen body for Robin and Spider-Man, big guy for Thor and Supes and a really big guy for Hulk, Grundy, etc.

that sounds good, what should wolverine go on as he's meant to be 5ft3" so you would think teen body but he's too muscular for one.

I'd like to see one sculpted a bit more realistically, so it would look good if you were making a Conan or Tarzan. I always wondered why no one tried to make a 1/9 body with the sort of musculature sculpt we got in the 70s w/ Mattel's Pulsar. For the time, that was a phenomenal body--Kenner's SMDM looked kind of schlubby in comparison. If someone made a decent body as well-sculpted as ACI's 1/6 "Andrew" base body, people would go nuts for them.
