I thought this 3D printed design would make cool tentacles for Doc Ock:

they look great paul.the only downside I can think about the plastic ones is how to attach them to the suit.

I have a Doc Ock custom in perpetual ready to start mode. . .. It always seemed to me (and it's just my idea/opinion) that Mego would have made Doc on a standard fat body and attached bendy tentacles to some kind of plastic belt. One day I'll finish it and show him off. . . .

                Hi

Here's a link to my thread on Doc Ock

Hi everyone I know Doc Ock has been done by many people in many ways, but here's my take on him. http://megomuseum.com/mmgallery/files/6/4/6/9/dscn0361_047.jpg Simply a CTV 'fat body', hands & boots, DM bodysuit, Reproheads head painted by me, and Hasbro Origins tentacles & sliced up 'harness'. Submitted for your

Scroll down to the 7th post by BlackKnight, there's a better photo there (this was before I knew how to post pics)

Don't recall how hard it was to find the Hasbro Origins figure or how much he cost, but I do know he was off Ebay. It was nice not having to attach the arms directly to the body.

                Just food for thought.

Yes: Peg on tentacles, peg into torso. This brass liner for the peg holes is genius. Conversely, you could do a resin pack-pack to hold the tentacles--you'd only then need one hole in the torso back and use the natural suit opening.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Very cool--these are similar to something TMMello and I discussed.

Riderfan, I like how you trimmed the Origins harness. It could perhaps even be painted orange to simulate a belt.

I had an old '90s Spider-Man Animated Dock Ock projector figure that had some nice in-scale tentacles as well, but they weren't flexible.

This is one guy I want to go back & 'tweak' a little bit. Never thought about giving him an orange belt.

Thank you PNGwynne for the idea & nice comments!

And to the OP, some more food for thought. Lots of good ideas here for Doc Ock. Look forward to seeing which way you decide to go.
