I've added acetone. I've used a heck of a lot of dye. Certain materials are resisting the dye, like there is no tomorrow. CTVT Fonzie jacket got pleather rot. After removing plastic coating, I dyed it black with this latest batch. Came out fantastic. One Denim white shirt came out almost completely black. One white shirt and long labcoat are only medium grey. Both purple pants appear to have a color similar of the original Mego Batman grey/purple bodysuit.

If you do need to go to black, this should work fine...
I dont know if I have any of the spray dye handy or I could do a test but I did the carpet in an old car I had and it worked fine. I wonder if the dye might bleed on the figure. I wouldn't think so after it dried.Comment

Update: the calligraphy ink will indeed dye the suit, but it dries rock-hard. I had to wet the suit to get it on the body. I stood him up in the garage to dry. So far, I've spent $10 trying to dye a $3 body suit. From now on I'll just buy the suits colored and save myself a ton of grief.Comment
