I picked up a small wooden bow for a green arrow from Michael's one time and made a arrow for it out of a tooth pick. When he held it, I positioned his right hand holding on to the back of the tooth pick to make it look like he was pulling back on it. A few times the toothpick flew out from his bow from him holding it. I thought it was neat little trick that he could do.
These things are $4.99 at your local Michael's? I'm not sure where you are, but Michael's near San Francisco has most of these (including the lantern, the bottles of soda in a bucket and 2-pack flour/potato sacks) for $2.99 each. A lot of these are metal, and very nice.
The scale of the various items seems to vary... anywhere between 1:12 to 1:6, depending on which one you pick. They seem to be dollhouse items, but not extremely strict about the scale.
I was really considering the lantern, but the glass globe is a solid marble, not hollow. I was really hoping for hollow, because (if it were hollow) one can use one of those CR-2032 battery-operated LED candles, remove the bulb and put it inside the lantern and extend the wiring to the battery box and hide it behind a box or panel or something.
