    Mego size accessories at Micheal's

Found a bunch of Mego sized items at Micheal's - mirrors, books, maps and more. Here are a few items with a figure for size comparison.

Great now I can't get the thought of Sean Connery saying "Cuckoo Clock" out of my head.

That lantern looks like it would go well with my London After Midnight. Do they have it in black, silver, or grey?

I picked up some miniature playing cards to go with my James Bond custom a few years ago.

I picked up a small wooden bow for a green arrow from Michael's one time and made a arrow for it out of a tooth pick. When he held it, I positioned his right hand holding on to the back of the tooth pick to make it look like he was pulling back on it. A few times the toothpick flew out from his bow from him holding it. I thought it was neat little trick that he could do.

These things are $4.99 at your local Michael's? I'm not sure where you are, but Michael's near San Francisco has most of these (including the lantern, the bottles of soda in a bucket and 2-pack flour/potato sacks) for $2.99 each. A lot of these are metal, and very nice.

The scale of the various items seems to vary... anywhere between 1:12 to 1:6, depending on which one you pick. They seem to be dollhouse items, but not extremely strict about the scale.

I was really considering the lantern, but the glass globe is a solid marble, not hollow. I was really hoping for hollow, because (if it were hollow) one can use one of those CR-2032 battery-operated LED candles, remove the bulb and put it inside the lantern and extend the wiring to the battery box and hide it behind a box or panel or something.

I am going to Michael's on Tuesday. It has been awhile since they carried Dollhouse items.
