OK, here is my Thelin in 2 uniforms, but has anyone used
Black Level Male Boots or Black Hero Boots for Trek guys like Thelin?

I only had Klingon Boots handy, he'll have to give them back so any preference on what I should order for Thelin?

Thelin should be in Gold as a Commander but I guess he "replaced" Spock as both First Officer and Science Officer. But I had to do this Vignette photo since I had the stuff.

For some reason he doesn't look good in yellow, I just finaly got around to making on but i used spray paint on a trek body and swaped heads

I did do a Robert April awhile ago,I think I can find the picture.

The version I did was a much younger Robert April from the Trek Books.I also did George kirk,Roberts first officer and Kirks father.I am planing a few others from the Animated series.Thanks for all the love guys I'm glad you like Commander Thelin he was a real pleasure to make and an emptiness fulfilled.Thanks again to EMCE for making this happen.

For the animated version,would a slightly modified CTVT Jet Jungle head work? I was watching The Counter-Clock Incident over the weekend and thinking "man if he don't look like Jet Jungle."

I tested hero boots recently and it seems like Black Level Male Boots would not be tall enough.

So, any opinion on Hero Boots vs Blackbeard/Klingon boots?

Go with the Klingon boots as they are high enough for the Trek pants to fit over

Of course you could use a trek body and either spray paint the hands or change out the hands

Does spray painting the hands work OK? I still want to play with this guy after I make him.

But I'm more likely to have someone else do the rest of my customs. I'm giving up on Klingon uniforms very soon...

That's a good question, I've spray painted a few hands for custom superheroes but i put them in custom boxes and placed them on the shelves for display so i have no idea how they'll hold up in usage, But the spray paint is easy to use and goes on smooth and looks great when dried, Sadly i can't sew or paint heads so i ship out for the outfits and painted heads and when they arrive i put every thing together, Oh i wouldn't be quick in giving up on the Klingon outfits sometimes you need to wait a bit, Sadly i also missed that thread when it was first posted so i'll proable miss out on the first batch and will need to wait for another batch so i'll just work on Gary 7 and some red shirts guys in the mean time

Oops. I meant that I'm working on a Klingon uniform myself and I can't get the "easy" pants right so I'm giving up on my attempt and I'll farm that project out.

I hope I can buy 6 Klingon Uniforms from Dave later, but I may not be able to get the cash in time. I am subscribed to that thread now though.

6? i'd be happy with one but would love to get two and add a sash to one so i can have Kang and a reg Klingon in proper uniform but i have a low MEGO budget so i'll proably get one at least

I will likely only get 1 or 2 if any. But when I get Kang I will have 6 Klingons. 2 Groups of 3. Seems Poetic. I just bought disruptors from CTC. Pix will follow when I get the naked warriors dressed in something.

But I'd prefer to have everyone in a proper uniform... But I think they are $40ea so 1 is most likely. Particularly if he is rationing them. I know there is pent up demand. I've bought Dave's heads. He put Kor on a body for me. But I've never bought a uniform from him. Yet.

So yeah, I'm with you. Probably lucky to get 1. We'll see how my attempt turns out. It won't be as screen accurate but it may suit me well if I get it done or have someone get it done. I'm using 3 layers for the "vest." We'll see...

I went to Blockbusters today and picked up a Spock with gold bands. I took my previous EMCE Spock and $5 Andorian from FAO and put this custom together. I used the Andorian's chest, arms and head, and Spock's everything else. When attaching the legs, I connected them to the opposite arms, instead of the arms on the same side as they were made. It seems to give them more poseable. Very nice figure and it only took a few minutes to put together!
