Commander Thelin

First seen in the animated episode "Yesteryear"
This episode featured an alternate universe in which Andorian Starfleet officer Commander Thelin became first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise
in 2364,This meant that in that universe Thelin took part in all of those adventures with Kirk and McCoy depicted in the live-action STAR TREK series instead of Spock.
I present for you Commander Thelin.
Not a hard custom by any means but one that mego could certainly have pulled off.
He is a custom I have wanted to have since I was a kid.Thanks to the good Doc it is now possible.

I think that this shows one of the best things about the EMCE reissues. Getting all these figures that you've wanted since you were a kid and couldn't pick up for whatever reason, and now you can.

Wow I'm glad somebody else watched the animated.
He was very simple but I think it makes him look nice and clean as if mego could have made him.

BK you may be on to something with that variant idea.It could be a great way for EMCE to use up some of the silver banded spock shirts.

this was my first custom of 2008.
It feels good just having him on the bridge.
I am still working on my secret Trek figure hope to be done soon.

Very nice! Great use of available figures. I always will think of Mego Trek as being connected to the animated series.

In fact, I have been toying with the idea of taking a crapped out Kirk or Spock and giving it filmation paint job (i.e.get rid of the eye whites) and do yellow tri-angular insignias for the shirts.

The version I did was a much younger Robert April from the Trek Books.I also did George kirk,Roberts first officer and Kirks father.I am planing a few others from the Animated series.Thanks for all the love guys I'm glad you like Commander Thelin he was a real pleasure to make and an emptiness fulfilled.Thanks again to EMCE for making this happen.
