Sharing some results for those Knight swords that have lost their shine.
As you can see, this was almost completely bare! That was great, less old chrome to remove. Couldn't do much for the wavy tip.
This might be considered a temporary fix for some. But for me, I'm gonna stick with it, as I don't play hard with my knights.
Yes, you can do this yourself. The foil is a modeling accessory called bare metal foil. I've used this for years on model cars, then Mego goodies.
This stuff is thinner than tin foil and it's a sticky back.
Just be patient and set a little time aside.
Recommend washing so foil sticks better. Trimming so small is a trick. Using shears and an exacto knife. Use a toothpick to get it in the recesses. I use flat toothpicks.
