Somebody did a Hellboy that was a bit more cloven hoof than he should be. Don't remember who it was. Wonder if a cheapo horse from Dollar General could be adapted to a Mego leg.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
Hellboy! Didn't think of him. I thought about the Dollar Store horse idea, but didn't know if any of the customizers here have had any success with project like this. Figured I'd ask the pros before attempting.Comment

I don't know how you feel about sculpting, but what I did when I needed animal-looking feet for my Wildcat custom was use Magic-Sculp to add the claws and other details onto existing feet. Maybe you could whittle a Mego(or repro) foot down to a nub and then sculpt the cloven feet on. Just play around with getting the angles right so they balance ok.Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

Hmmmm....
I played around with making digigrade legs. It CAN be done; you just make a new lower leg. Problem is, because of how you gotta balance the weight of the figure, as soon as the knee or ankle joint gets loose the figure doesn't stand. Mine didn't have separate feet; they were sculpted right on.... but the knee is still a problem.

Being a newbie, I've avoided the sculpting issue. Will Magic-Sculp adhere to original/repro parts? Please advise how well Magic-Sculp holds up and adheres. This really sounds like a good starting point if it works.Comment

I've never had any problems with using it to modify plastic bodies and resin parts. I find that it's sturdier than Sculpey - when I use that, I usually end up molding and casting a copy of the altered part, because I've had a lot of cured Sculpey crack and crumble.Hey!
