How'd you make the books or did you just find them somewhere?
thanks!
I made everything except the mummy on the desk, the globe in the back, the candlesticks on the shelf, the chain and padlock on the copper book, and the decorative scroll endcaps.
the books don't open, but they're actually little pieces of paper cut on a paper cutter and wrapped in various coverings. the books on the desk I put more effort into making them look real.
I think I made about 75 books!
Dr Strange is one of my favorite charaters, and your display is a work of art, I'll keep checking back to see the wonderful progress...man, I was happy with just the desk.
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
I'm resurrecting this thread (I apologize for that, but I didn't want to create a new thread if there is one already), but I need some furniture that looks slightly medieval (chairs, tables, thrones, etc...any suggestions?), I wouldn't even mind a wooden bench and table or two. I may have to go the balsa wood route and make my own (as Jessica suggested)...I want to create a tavern display for my D&D figures.
I make contraptions and stuff. If you have a picture of what you're interested in, I would be happy to take a crack at it or to help out. pm sent.
