I hope you recover quickly. Good luck on the surgery.

      Good luck!

Hope things go well for you. I had similar surgery about a year ago and the recovery was faster than they said. I didn't have severe damage yet but it was heading that way.
If they ask you about the nerve-deadening thing they do, do it! I had very little pain the first day or 2 because of it.
Shoulder is fit as a fiddle now.

Thanks all. I'm trying to look at it as a little vacation complete with what I hope are some good pain killers. I should be able to operate the TV remote with my left hand, so I should be good to go.

Dave I hope all goes well for you. My Dad had this done several years ago. I took him awhile to get over it, but he's 100% today. The Horne family will pray for you.

                  Hmmmm....

I messed up a shoulder a while back (I forget the technical term, but it's when the shoulder comes out of the joint and snaps right back in) and all I can say is:

Naproxin E. Not Naproxin, go for the "E." Sure it turns your organs to goo and has a list of a zillion side effects; but oh MAN does it work! (Just stay out of the sun afterwards.)

By the way I am left handed by nature and let me tell you I think I paint nice enough so a guy with your talent could pick it up pretty quick if you had to.

Sounds like a good job for the wife Dave! You might have hedged your bets all those years ago and have that written into your marital vows!

But seriously, I hope it all turns out well and while the surgery and recovery wont be fun, hopefully you can still enjoy the time away and come back recharged!

                        All the best!

Hope it goes well Dave . . . . I told you that you need more rest in between starts. 3 days rest is enough for a fast ball pitcher!

Good luck on the surgery, Dave. I hate to see any friend go under the knife, but when you are done perhaps you can make another run at the open audition for starting pitcher of the Toledo Mud Hens.
