And since nobody would pay that, I guess I won't be doing it.
If casting the original you sculpted would ruin it, what are you using to make/modify these heads? If it's a material that can't hold up, it also might be too fragile to use. When you refer to an completely original sculpt, do you mean you'd be selling someone a head of cured sculpey? If you make it from something stronger, like MagicSculp, it would also hold up to copies being made and be durable enough for use.
I wouldn't pay too much over the going rates already mentioned for a modified version of an existing head, because there's not as much work put into those and I can usually do them myself.
Once again, it would depend on the quality of the sculpt and the character. I don't recall seeing samples of your work, so I'd have to see photos before I could decide what I'd be willing to pay.

Are you asking because you already have someone who wants to buy an original sculpt and aren't sure how much to charge? Because I would think most buyers are not going to care if it is the original sculpt or a resin copy. In fact, if I was buying, I would rather pay a cheaper price for a cast than original anyway especially if the original is fragile.

So in the end, I don't think you would get much more than $25 no matter what it is.
Expectation is the death of discovery.
