I saw some light weight wings at Michael's. They were in the doll section. I was thinking about using them for the Flying Monkey custom I made. What's nice about them is that they could fold together and become hidden behind his back.

In my attempt to do what Mego probably would have, I used smaller wings. I got them from a Polar Lights reissue of Aurora monster accessory kit. They were meant to go on a vulture model.

My first thought was to use SuperPowers Hawkman wings. But they are smallish & I'm saving them for my Flying Monkey.
I like Doc's wings, style-wise. And the wings on the DC Direct JLA Hawkgirl are perfect!

My Hawkman custom has a set of "flying" outstretched wings, and then I use Doc's for the just standing around version. I had made a harness for each set, but came up with a better solution. I know use velcro tape to hold the wings on. It makes for quick and easy wing changes, and is super simple to do.
This solution might work for you....if you dont like the wings you use initially, you can always rip em off and velcro on a new set."Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

Not sure about that, but I made mine from a Doc Mego repro Batman cowl, and I did some sclupting with Crayola Model Magic, and used a tiny bird toy for the wings.Does anyone sell removable masks for Hawkman and Hawkgirl?

Yet another suggestion. The Total Justice Hawkman comes with removable wings and the hinge part in his back can be adapted to Mego.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I agree 100% Felt wings with the feather pattern printed on, similar to Falcons wings, only thicker material. I wonder if the headsculpt would be based on the yellow masked Earth 2 Hawkman of the era as well? If for no other reason than the figure would still fit in the standard Mego blister card?
