Mego would have used felt wings, in my opinion...

I totally agree. I always thought that a Mego Hawkman would have grey felt wings under his arms like Falcon. Not character accurate but it would have worked.

Or printed cloth full size wings with a bendy wire running along the top...

Not sure about that, but I made mine from a Doc Mego repro Batman cowl, and I did some sclupting with Crayola Model Magic, and used a tiny bird toy for the wings.

That's how mego would have done a RM Hawkman, IMHO. That's just perfect Chris. I always thought you did such a great job on that custom.

Thanks Bob. I didn't mean to usurp this thread in anyway, just trying to show how a novice customizer handled Hawkman. He's by far the best one I've done.I just got lucky with the outcome on him.

I went with a Leitner head. Still working on the wings.
