Well you can get an all most exact repo of the AA talking commander from the GI-JOE collecter club which is as close as i'll proably ever get to having one

Same here for me.. I remember seeing the commercials for the first fuzz heads, then my mom surprising me with a talking commander, when all I had before was a Captain Action.

All I had were 3 fuzz head as a kid, just prior to going Mego, but once I started collecting all the Joe stuff in the early 90s, I went more for the painted heads and their detailed outfits.. Like the first astronaut outfits, fighter pilot, etc..

Adventurers...? YES, I loved 'em, but production of cool items slid a bit during their tenure, compared to the 60s stuff, obviously due to the declining sales and production costs. The cool exceptions were the Mobile Support Vehicle, ATV and Helicopter..

So I basically like both types for different reasons. Luckily they all get along on my shelf at home.
