What happened to Hot Toys Reeve Superman?

This figure was announced quite a while ago and was supposed to be a winter release...well, it's spring and we haven't even seen a prototype.

    C'mon...I'm dyin' here!

I'd like to think it's because they're tweaking it 'til it's perfect, but who knows. Can't wait to see it, though - I've been waiting my whole life for a Reeve figure that looks like Reeve.

Yeah word is that it's still coming... But if Hot Toys is still working on it, they're going to make sure it's good.

I was at one of the local shops yesterday, and they have had the Jor-El Hot Toys sitting on the top shelf forever. If and when the Reeve comes out, I'd be tempted to get that one as well.

Are Hot Toys figures smaller than the Matty Collector Superman movie figures?

I think they're nearly the same size. They're both 1:6 scale, but there might be some slight variation.

You should grab that Hot Toys Jor-El if you have any interest in it, because I think when Superman comes out, Jor-El will be tough to find. There's a guy on eBay right now trying to get $950 for one.

Hot Toys just posted a teaser image of Superman on their Facebook page, in case anyone is interested.

Can't wait. I'm so ready to whip my wallet open for that that I'm afraid I might dislocate my wrist.

Well, just from that, it looks like they got the all important nose and mouth perfect.

I've warned my wife that money is no object when it comes to this.

I'll definitely be down with dropping a few Robert Borden's on this one.
