Appears that NECA is small batch releasing additional stock at necaclub.com each day of the Con.

They did so around 10 am PST this morning and gave notice via Twitter.

BTW, they list the actual numbers remaining with each item for sale if you're hesitating or waiting until payday.

I stopped by my local TRU at lunch. They weren't on the shelves yet, but the woman stocking the NECA display showed me her shipping list that had them on it. She seemed to think that they could show up at any time.

She had just put out 5-6 of the Soldier apes.

I'm not surprised that set showed up at TRU. Sometimes I think the convention "exclusives" are just billed that way to front load hype before they hit shelves. That certainly wouldn't be the first example and not the last. This is a no nonsense example of something that should be mass produced. That's a must-have for fans.

Me thinks it twas not hype in this case as NECA designed a distribution strategy (see the NECA Exclusives Intel thread), that by early accounts appears to be working… meaning they actually found a way to get them in the hands of folks unable to attend SDCC. The only thing that didn't seem to go quite as planned was that NECA announced the exclusives going on sale Thursday (now tonight online), but then TRU put 'em all on the shelves early. Reports and pics coming in from across the country… everyone seems happy. Despite the Ebay scalpers, lots of fans are getting product.
