I just had a look at the head sculpt, and man, it's amazing. Doesn't get any better. We can always ditch the suit and give him a loin cloth to wear. Darn, forget that the boots aren't removable...

Agreed: The flight suit is not up to the standards of the rest of the figure... (That said, I'm sure I'll end up buying him...)

In NECA's defense, I heard that they were surprised by the fabric that that came back from the factory. Unfortunately, that stuff happens sometimes.

Agreed, but the prototype material looked just as bad. I was hoping they'd sort that out along the way, but didn't.
This is the first time Neca dropped the ball. The Soldier Ape looks absolutely fantastic, though. Can't wait!

I don't like the uniform but it's cool to finally have a Taylor figure in this scale. I wish I had one 40 years ago!

I haven't bought this yet, but was disappointed by the flight suit from the pictures. Walking through the FZ in a fleece sweater must be grueling. the black stitching is awful as well. NECA is the 8 inch Hot Toys. They should know better. Head sculpt is awesome though.

Really odd choice. It's some kind of polyester fleecey/velour stuff. And it's kinda see-through.

Mine came in while I was in Montana for Xmas. I have to say that that sculpt and detail are fantastic. But that fabric they used for the suit? WTH? Looks like two completely different companies from two different worlds worked on this figure. I hope any future figures they do for this line have improved clothing. Would love to see them do the entire line. Zira, Cornelius, Nova, Zaius, etc. Bring it on!

I'll be making a new flight suit for him, a nice winter project. I have my Sideshow Taylor close by as a model. It's odd, because other Neca figures have such detailed jackets and clothes.
