Not digging these at all. They should be far better quality, that body reminds me of the old crappy 9" Exclusive Premier figures. You would think a company like NECA would do something more like the ZICA figures and move more towards Hot Toys quality.

It's probably the results of the made up controversy. People who weren't aware they existed now do. Some people just want to buy it BECAUSE of the controversy. Plus, it's short packed.

I just checked the prices. That's insane. The thing is, with the controversy making these figures hot, the prices could stay up there. They only made a limited amount of them. Unless they make another set, of course, but I believe they are meant to be a limited edition.

Yeah, Ltd. Edition Series I as was originally publicized. Although after seeing the movie (great!), I can't imagine what other characters would make it to plastic.

I bought mine direct from Neca for $24.99… apparently they are sold out?… I see the prices on the other 5 are also varied now.

Not too sure about the 'discontinued' story. I spoke with my sales rep at neca and was told they were sold out at pre-order and had a bit of a wait list. He also stated they were considering a second run, but that it was still very unlikely that would happen.
