Craig! Now that the cats out of the bag, let's have some details! A little info about what, why, and when...
Please.
The body design is completely modern with multiple articulation points, and it would be ideal for a line of muscular super heroes. I'm shooting for the 1st Quarter of next year to have it available.
Does the hobby need a new eight inch body with no internal bands and better articulation? A buffer body for our superheroes?
What do you think would be the ultimate eight inch style?
I think a wider chest and shoulders is needed for a more muscular look. (I have one that is great!)
Swivel bicep is always good.

Neck articulation...please...because no one else has friggin' necks..no friggin' necks!
Great news Craig, Always look forward to new Zica stuff! Buck and Tigerman are the best 8" figures in my collection! Looking forward to what comes next.
Are Mego heads going to be able to be used with the new body?
No, rotocast MEGO style heads won't work with the body. The primary reason this body is being developed is because I'm planning to use it on a modern 8" action figure line.
Why not make the neck post a removal piece, where you can unscrew the body and remove it for Mego compatibility? Seems like "backward compatibility" would be a feature, and an approach like this would give you the best of both worlds...

Because it would be more expensive to add this feature and it doesn't fit in with what I've got planned.
Hmmm....sounds like fun. Will you be sculpting heads in house as it were? My curiosity is seriously piqued at the idea of this.
Will the clothing at least be in scale with the Type S figure? Putting CTVT clothes on one of those is always difficult, as the clothing is WAY too small to fit, even with a lot of tugging and pulling.
