captain eagle looks great! which characters will be in the first wave, craig? would be cool to see the prototype next to a gi joe to view size comparison.

Boss Fight Studios sculpt their prototypes at 104% so we won't really be able to tell size other that it will be 4". The prototypes would probably tower over a regular GI Joe.
Craig, I'm pretty hopeful that this will be a very successful Kickstarter when it launches! The demand for 4" figures still exists but Hasbro (and Mattel, since their 4" DC line has crappy articulation) has all but abandoned the super articulated 4" figure market. Their upcoming Marvel Universe figures are cutting back on articulation a ton too. Concept art looks awesome. Boss Fight did that?
Are these going to be all gold like their vintage counter-parts or a modern deco scheme?
There's some discussion about doing gold variants of the figures for Kickstarter but figures in the main line will have different decos.

Captain Eagle and a few different troop builder figures are planned for the first wave.

Accounting for shrinkage during production. I'd guess.
That pic looks really good; if the figure looks anywhere near as good, it will have a lot of personality in and of itself. That's a good thing in a line where there may not be a lot of name recognition.

Maybe, I'm not sure how it works exactly. I think there is an actual process called pantomiming, or something like that, to reduce the size to the correct size before production. I've seen some posts from the Four Horsemen about the process and its kind of expensive so they started sculpting their Power Lords at actual size to reduce that cost.
Also,
Great RIOT Trooper. I could see that guy being somewhat troop built.
