Heard an interesting story on the radio about how these got made. Vin did the cameo in F&F2 for no money, to get the second Riddick made, which under performed, so he agreed to keep doing F&F for the rights to Riddick. Seems to me someone should talk to the man about merchandising.

I always considered those figures more as accessories than action figures. Mattel did have plans for individually carded 3" figures, but they never made it past the prototype stage according to Plaid Stallions.
Always wished Mattel would've produced a season two Eagle 1 with figures of Maya, Carter, and Verdeshi in their spacesuits. All they would've had to do was resculpt the heads and change the artwork on the box.

I actually pitched this idea to a company that Dave and I were in talks to work with and they didn't seem to think there was a market for it. I disagree but at this point it doesn't really matter because unfortunately it seems as though the company is no longer interested in joining forces.

I'm kinda surprised Space 1999 hasn't been remade yet, seems like it's due. Would have made a good replacement for the new Battlestar sereies when it ended on the scifi channel.
