Is there an update on shipping for this? I'm still anxiously waiting for mine. I think there was another boatload coming in or something like that?Leave a comment:

Clearly some of you don't understand what Craig is talking about with his boot design. But if you were familiar with this style in 1/6 figures, you would know that it is by far the best possible choice, and will look 100 times nicer than boots that slip over the feet. Trust me, you will all be happy with the end product.Leave a comment:

I know what boot design he's talking about, I have a pair for a CyGirl from the red Harley Davidson outfit made by TriadToys. (If only I could remember where they are! LOL!)
Deep inside the shaft of the boot is a little post that goes straight up into the leg of the figure; once it clicks in place, there's little to no chance of it sliding off and disappearing under the sofa, unlike with Babs' shoes.
I like the idea, as long as they come in a pack and don't cost as much as the figure!Leave a comment:

What about silicone rubber? The Castaway ChiPS boots are made from that material, and they fit Yvonne just fine.
They look a smidge oversized, but that's the style in some comics anyway. It's certainly a better look than teeter totter stiletto heels.
You don't even have to force them on, just gently glide the foot (hopefully encased in either tights or a bodysuit) into the shaft of the boot, and set it in place when it hits the sole.
Personally, I love those boots. Hard plastic tends to split at the worst times.Leave a comment:

The boot design I'm referring to is basically what's being done in 1/6 scale with solid boots. The bottom of the boot is filled in, where the foot would normally be, and a fastening mechanism (post or hole) is used to attach it to the bottom of the leg. Triad Toys does a lot of soft goods style boots and I don't think they will work in this scale, especially for a female figure. Odds are they would look way too bulky.
That would prevent weak ankles syndrome.Leave a comment:

Honestly, I am not sure I favor the "boot foot" approach Zica is suggesting. The Django figures took that approach, and I'm not in love with the results. But Mego women have terrible balance issues with their tiny feet. Human sized feet sound like a step in the right direction (horrible pun intended).
The only issue I have with boot feet is what I've encountered with 1/6 female figures; weak ankles.
But if you're using a figure stand then that won't really be a problem.
Though when done right (see Triad Toys' 1/6 range) boot feet allow for more poseability than using hollow boots.Leave a comment:

Or maybe if you are trying to improve upon the status quo, you accept that some things may be incompatible?

you'd think this body would be more compatable with what's already on the market accessory wise instead of having to wait for Zica to make boots that fit.Leave a comment:
