Too bad a bout Adam West, he probably would have sold better than Buck( I know I would have got one, I skipped Buck as it has no appeal to me). Passing on Logan's Run since it wasn't movie based is a good move. -
that's pretty sad news. this was the one line i thought would sell quite well!!Leave a comment:

Sad news, IMO Buck and Tigerman were the best 8 inch action figures that have ever been produced.
If I remember correctly, there were 5000 Flattworld Bela Logosi made and 1500 were purchased by a distributer in Japan. 3500 came to the US. When the sales slowed I know they were talking to the Home Shopping Network to sell all the remaining cases. I don't remember why it didn't work out, but it's a thought.
Craig, your figures are so outstanding, Don't you think it will just be a matter of time before they all sell? I don't remember when they were first available, but it doesn't seem like it was that long ago.

Would you have sold more at 19.99 a piece like you did later, rather than origionally offering them at 29.99 each ? Was that even possible given your factory and licensing costs ?
.... what about Hawk then ? Is he still a go ?
I could see West being somewhat popular, given who he is. Logans Run, Not so much. I know it's gotta fan base .... but imo the sales would be worse than The statement about Buck Figures.
Unless another company takes over production the remaining three figures, Hawk, Kane and the Draconian Guard will not be made.Leave a comment:

Right now I'm focusing all of my resources on getting the female body produced so that's pretty much the only thing that's in the pipe line, at least the only thing that I can talk about.Leave a comment:

Wow, I just read all this, what a bummer, whats the least U would have to make? The Twilight zone, only seems to be a 1000 +. Whats next in the pipe line, is the Logans run still on?Leave a comment:

Gil really hasn't bought many cases but at the end of this he might buy all of the Buck figures.Leave a comment:

Craig, I realize you can't talk numbers, but doesn't Gil still buy many cases of figures from you? I assumed with as much touring as he does going from con to cons that selling those figures with his autograph sold like hotcakes.Leave a comment:

This is the exact thing that has completely baffled me about the Buck Rogers line, and also makes me very hesitant to take on another licensed property anytime soon. Maybe I could have done a better job with marketing but I thought the fan base for the show would have been plenty big enough to make the line profitable. I'm still scratching my head as to why the line hasn't done better.
1.The Economy sucks for many people
2.There is too much "product" on the market to choose from, especially since many Toy companies are producing 80's Nostalgic type lines.
But as far as what you produced in the BR line, the quality was definitely there,as these are the best 8" figures to date! I am saddened of not getting Hawk,Wilma,Vorvon and Ardala...Oh Well...Back to Sideshow G.I. Joes
P.S. Zica's buck rogers line was the reason I joined this siteLeave a comment:

Well, I'm definitely supporting them when both the 1/6 and 8" Flash Gordon figures come out. Might grab two of the 8" ones.
Let me just day dream here a sec: I'd really like to see ZICA make a Six Million Dollar Man figure. I'd like to see anyone make one, but ZICA would do it right. I think it would be superb and possibly my all-time favorite figure, if it were Buck Rogers quality. I'd definitely buy multiples. Thing is, if Buck hasn't performed that well, would Steve? I'm being serious. It's easy to say that it would, but I'd have thought Buck would have done better, so I'm not sure. It boggles my mind they aren't sold out yet.Leave a comment:

Keep in mind that Go Hero got jacked by the same middle-man company out of Singapore that took Cast-a-way for a ride, so they are still coming back from that set back.Leave a comment:
